Weddings and Memorials
The Unitarian Fellowship of Lawrence is available for weddings and memorials of members and non-members alike. It is the position of the Fellowship to support the celebration and maintenance of healthy, committed, loving relationships between two people, regardless of sexual orientation.
Our minister and licensed lay officiants are available to perform a wedding ceremony or service of union created around your unique cultural, spiritual and personal preferences. Any service taking place in our building or on our grounds is assumed to represent Unitarian Universalism, and it is our minister’s responsibility to uphold the principles we affirm. If you would like to have someone else lead your service, the minister shall meet with that person and have him or her participate as deemed appropriate.
Weddings at the Fellowship require the services of our Event Coordinator who will meet with you as soon as you have a date on the Fellowship calendar. The Event Coordinator will be present during the rehearsal, wedding, and reception and will help ensure that those event run smoothly.
